Low-Price Chinese Motorcycles Give Pakistanis Reason to Smile
Pakistani motorcycle riders are smiling as never before as Chinese models are compelling local manufacturers to drop prices.
"The rise in the sale of low-priced Chinese motorbikes, both imported and locally assembled, has forced leading motorcycle companies to reduce their prices," The News reported Sunday.
Prices of locally made motorcycles range from Rs.37,000 to Rs.41,000, as only the engines are imported while other parts are made in Pakistan.
Prices of imported Chinese motorbikes range from Rs.42,000 to Rs.44,000. Besides, such machines, marketed under brands like Jialing, Tiger, Moon Star and Kappa, come with self-starters and remote controlled starters…
